A service was held in January 2010 at a local library; and it was realized at that time the need for a church to be organized so that we could continue to come together as the body of Christ and worship the only one and true God.
ALLPWR Ministries Church was founded by Apostle Gregory B. and Yvette E. Reese on March 7, 2010 with Matthew 28:18 as our foundation scripture- And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Our first service as ALLPWR Ministries Church was held at the Cuffee Center in Chesapeake at which time we also had our first baby dedication of Baby Eaton.
Also during the month of March those ministers who had been in training were licensed; Ministers Nekiesha Edler and Kevin Reese, Sr. (March 14), Everleen Brewer (March 21), and Annette Coleman and Yvette Reese (March 28, 2010). We stayed at the Community center for 1 month, and then moved our services to a Meeting Room at the Holiday Inn Hotel where we engaged in Sunday School, and also Morning Worship Services. Our stay at the hotel was only 2 1/2 months.
One day while riding down Sewells Pt. Rd. we noticed where a church had taken over another building; we quickly drove by the church previous location to find that it was up for rent. A number was listed to call and after making contact with the office manager, he agreed to come and meet us; however he suggested office suites instead of the small church building.
Upon walking thru the building ; we had a vision, and God showed us what it could become; we called for everyone to be in prayer concerning leasing this property. After much prayer, the answer came to "Pursue"; we then contacted an attorney and had her to negotiate our contract. After signing the lease, we moved into our first building which housed ALLPWR Ministries Church (Suite A) and ALLPWR Ministries, Inc.(Suite B). We had fundraisers to purchase the chairs, podium, plant stands, pulpit chairs, and other things to beautify the sanctuary. Mirrors, floral centerpiece, entry table were all donated to enhance the entryway. Sound systems, keyboard, drums, mics, cameras; everything we needed , God provided.
Years later after another business moved out, we were able to secure another suite which allowed us to have a fellowship hall; which was used for Sunday school classes, Ministers/Praise team room, enough room to feed, and also hold Bible study. Some of our ministries included; Anointed For God Youth Ministry(AFGYM), Nursing Home Outreach, Evangelistic Team Ministry, Jesus Is Lord Intercessory Prayer Ministry, ALLPWR Praise Team, Sound/Video Ministry, Helping Hands Ministry, Youth and Young Adult Usher Board were organized. Also a ramp was installed at the front door of the church to accommodate our handicap members access to the building.
During our time at this location; God used us in a powerful way; 13 ministers were Licensed; 7 were Ordained; 3 Deacons were Licensed; 5 Trustees; Baptismal services held for 4 different groups of people.
We left this located March 9, 2018; however God has still made a way and has opened doors for his ministry to continue thru his servants of ALLPWR Ministries. We have our Outreach Worship Services at 4 Nursing Homes each Sunday; they are Signature Healthcare, Waterside Rehab, Autumn Care of Norfolk, and Heritage Hall; while Bible Study is by way of Jesus Is Lord Prayer Ministry Conference line and most recently all services are by zoom.com, because of COVID-19.
Our Pastor; Apostle Gregory Reese; came up thru the ranks of the church to prepare him for his ministry; Usher, Male Chorus, Substitute Sunday School Teacher, Licensed Board of Deacons (9/29/91) by Dr. Raymond Dean, Called to Ministry and Licensed (9/15/1993), Appointed President of Love Club(July 1994) name later changed to Love Outreach Ministry, Founder of ALLPWR Ministries (May 31, 2001) and Established ALLPWR Ministries Church (March 7, 2010); he was Ordained as an Apostle on July 10, 2004 by Bishop Vincent Wyche.
The Woman of God also came up thru the church as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Usher, Young Voices Choir, Deaconess Board, Girl Scout Organizer(Troop 5050); Love Outreach Ministry, Audio/Visual Ministry, CoFounder of ALLPWR Ministries.
We are trusting and believing God for all that he has in store for us in the future; according to Gen. 18:14 -Is Anything To Hard For The Lord?
